Exceptional Care, Exceptional People

The Cowichan District Hospital Foundation (CDHF) was established in 1984 as a registered charity for the purpose of raising funds to purchase equipment and support patient/resident care and comfort at Cowichan District Hospital and Cairnsmore Place. The CDHF raises money through various events during the year, namely our Annual Dinner Auction, Golf Tournament, and Annual Appeal.

The Cowichan District Hospital Foundation has been raising funds in support of Cowichan District Hospital and Cairnsmore Place for 40 years, and more recently for Cowichan’s new hospital as well. The generosity of our donors helps bring world-class equipment to our area, which can help reduce wait times, improve patient experiences, allow for less invasive procedures, support staff recruitment and retention, reduce patient travel, and more.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, last year we were able to make a significant impact through purchasing crucial equipment, including a new anaesthesia machine and a speciality surgical table for Cowichan District Hospital, plus a new activity bus for Cairnsmore Place, and much more. We are so grateful for the generosity of our community.
